I was walking around my casa materna barefoot and one of the pregnant ladies thought something had happened to my shoes. I left the habit of walking around barefoot at the Nicaraguan customs station. That is a little bit of an American thing. Nicas rarely walk around without shoes or chinless (flip-flops) and so ive gotten used to walking around with shoes all the time, but thats something i'll probably leave behind after my time in the peace corps...
